Does anyone else realize that GotApex is just a page filled with self-referals? For a site that condemns self-referals, they sure have enough of them. GotApex gets commissions if you buy from the links they provide? Sure sounds like it to me. I say "Down with Apex!" There is a better site anyway, even though I believe they are controlled by the same group. Try DealHunting.com . They are a scam, too, but a better site.

hehe... how do you think these people can afford to take all the time to keep a site like this running? it's sure not because of your charity contributions! All sites like this have affiliates. If they didn't, it wouldn't be worth their time or trouble to keep the site going.

yes, the folks the run apex and dealhunting.com do talk to each other a bit, but they aren't out to scam anyone.

anyways, it benifits you too... say for example, you buy something from a site that apex is an affiliate of, and they mess up your and others orders, he has a little extra pull with that business and can put some pressure on them to fix the problem a little sooner.

Apex never said you can't have self-referals...just that you have to place it under the spam forum. Yes he does make good money off his links here, he has no problems admiting that. If you don't like the things run here just go start your own deal website....there are tons out there.

Apex, LP and Darth spend time every day for their efforts. And it's a thankless job at that. You expect them to not get compensated? And how is it a scam? Are you losing money because of it? Are they selling your email addy? They need this money. Server space isn't cheap, and neither is the kind of bandwidth they require.

I am the administrator of DealHunting.com. While I appreciate the endorsement I would like to point out that I also pay the light bill from my site. Do you realize that I work every single day on the site sometimes upwards of 12 hours a day? If Deal sites didn't make money on some of the deals they post there would be no motivation for us to do it. I certainly wouldn't work as hard on my site if it weren't for the benefits of doing so.

I would appreciate it if you would be more kind in your posts and respect Apex and this site. DealHunting wouldn't be as large as it has become if it weren't for the generosity of Apex and the friends I've made here in the forums.

I'm the coupon manager at DealHunting and a loyal member and friend of Got|Apex and I, better than most people on here (besides those in charge! :) ) know how much hard work and sweat go into a site, especially one this size. Apex is not independantly wealthy (and if he is, he's been holding back on me... Grrr! ;) ) so without the income from his referrals, banners, and ads, there would be no Got|Apex.
