I cant seem to find any real information on this chip that Intel claims does 1TFlops. I would imagine that its still only a 32bit machine, since Intel has yet to build anything beyond Emulated 64bit processing.
Anyone else have facts/numbers on this proc?

Fastest I can find is 500ghz from IBM last June.

hertz != flops
I haven't heard anything about the "80 core" proc since the announcement.

There was an article that was released a couple days ago stating that they had overclocked it to 4ghz and that it then ran 1.28TFlops, but what I really would like to know is information on architecture, and whether or not they're actually using LinPack to test this, as that would use double-precision floating point ops (64bit, the true test of processors), as that is the preferred method of calculation in most scientific applications.
