One of the weirdest songs ever, but catchy.
I had a decent enough weekend, though I've managed to kill my first piece of hardware of the year only 6 days into it: my UPS.
It had been a good UPS, that had it's batteries changed a few times, but after this last battery death I noticed scorching on the power leads and experience tells me you don't screw with a flaky UPS. So I went into the lounge to get my old one that I used there, and noticed first that the battery in there was leaking, and that the bottom of the unit was scorched as well. Yeesh, glad I haven't been using it. So I tossed 'em as they were well out of warranty anyway, and picked up a new one.
UPS's are must haves, but when they die they die hard. Which segways into what I did on Saturday, which was watch the greatest Holiday movie ever made, Die Hard.
I also might have say, heard that a certain TV show starting it's new season next week might have sort of ended up available, and I might have sort of found myself watching those episodes. Maybe. Maybe they involved oh, terrorists and digital clocks. I'm not saying.
They uh, fell off a truck.
I dunno who at Fox screwed up, but I'm happy for it. Thank you for screwing up. I find people don't appreciate a good screw up near enough, so again, thank you. Hope you find a new job quickly.
Sunday I did battle with the children, mostly in good ways. Mostly. I'm a little crankly, because my mouth is a little sore from getting drilled on Friday night. I had a temp filling put in designed to calm the nerve in the tooth down so I can hopefully avoid a root canal. Seems to be working, but I am a little tender. Not in the please cuddle me sort of way.
Anyway, nothing much going on this week but work and my birhtday on Thursday, and after the holidays I ain't all that impressed with my birthday. Having a birthday 2 weeks after christmas mostly sucks. Mostly. Not being dead doesn't suck. Aging, eh. But it's hard to get excited after Xmas.
Gotta fly.
You go have a day.
