Can't Find Value PC As Good As August?

Last summer I got a Dell B110 Celeron D 256K cache 512MB SDRAM 15" flat panel 80GB drive DVD burner XP Home for $399. After adding speakers, shipping and tax, it was $480.

Now I can't seem to find anything new that is as cheap.

That's mostly because the new dual core chips bring up the price of machines somewhat. You can get close to that price, but you may have to wait a few more months for processor costs to drop. Or, have a look at the outlet - you can probably get those specs (including a 17" LCD) in your price range.
