Tech licensing company Rambus Inc. has its plate full at this week's DesignCon 2007 in Santa Clara, Calif.

The Los Altos, Calif.-based company has a host of demonstrations, displays, presentations and panels scheduled to explain its XDR memory architecture and its most recent implementation in Sony's PlayStation 3 gaming system.

The company said this week it is set to showcase its XDR memory architecture with a technology demonstration at a 3.2Gbps data rate. It also plans to demo its FlexIO processor bus, which it touts as the industry's fastest processor bus solution, as well as DDR technology it said will perform memory transactions to and from a DDR2 device operating at 800Mbps on a 400MHz clock, among other demos.

Earlier this month, Rambus announced that it has signed a licensing agreement with Qimonda AG that will see its XDR memory interface solution be implemented in Qimonda's 75nm process technology for integration into high-volume applications, including game consoles, digital televisions, set-top boxes and PC graphics.
