Going to Vegas!

I need a deal for a hotel room on the strip in April. I'm going to attend a conference at the Venetian, so check in date is 4/20, conference is over the afternoon of 4/26. So I need a hotel for 4/26, checking out 4/29.

I really want to stay at the venetian again, but I don't think that's going to happen for the price. (Conference-reserved rooms are already sold out.)

I can get conference rates at Harrahs or Ballys for around 150, but it's only good for the conference duration. the rates jump as soon as the conference is over. (Plus, I'd like to stay at a nicer hotel if I'm paying more than the holiday inn express 1 mile off the strip.)

Anyone know how to get a good promo rate for these hotels?

hotwire can help also... then again it doesn't hurt to sign up for the hotel news letters where they announce their cheapo room rates... good luck!

Nice to meet you! I mostly lurk the Got Deals forums and posted a quick "thank you" when I see a deal I like. :) Though lately, I've been peaking into the Finance Forum too. Glad I can give back!
