There's a pretty good snow storm around here today. Schools are closed for the day. My commute to work wasn't too bad (but many expressways in the area were a nightmare).

Just got word that our office is closing at 3:00 this afternoon. Hopefully the trip home won't be too clogged up.

Our predicted 1-2 feet of snow was supposed to start here at 3:00pm. Since it's already past 3, It's a matter of wait and see now..anyway, I've got the snow blower primed and ready to rumble-just in case. Our weathermen are notorious for mis-predicting the weather around here..if it does snow that much, I'm going to wait till about midnight to clear the walks-mostly because the snow will look so pristene when I'm out there alone, but mostly because I want to piss off the neighbors.

Or is it because the only thing you wear is your perfume? :heh:

I got home safe-and-sound - in about the same amount of time as my normal commute home.

Heavy Snow Warning in effect here from 5pm today to 2pm tomorrow (Wed), they're predicting 8"-14" total. Woohoo, bring it on!!! Maybe I can drag someone out sledding with me this weekend! (that's plastic toboggans, not snowmobiles)

The official total for my dad's area is 11 feet in the past 10 days. Keep in mind that 11 feet doesn't mean the snow is 11 feet deep. It has settled to about 5. And nobody really agrees with the measurements (except for the media 'cause it's dramatic). It always seems like they measure more than what actually falls.

It sucks. Yesterday it was 70 degrees and today I come home to a snowstorm. What a body shock after 2 weeks of 60-70 degrees weather to having to use a snow shovel. :(

Just ice here.

Heavy freezing rain in the morning...changing to a wintry mix in the afternoon. Windy at times. Significant icing likely. High 32F. Winds NNW at 25 to 35 mph. Chance of precip 90%.

Ugh...at least I won't be going to work tomorrow. :)

This is so weird...my grass is greening up, and we have only had one storm this year where I've had to shovel. You all can keep the snow, I kinda like this warm weather.

Ended up with about 8" here. Imagine that, it's winter and it snowed. No big deal. Such a crock of sheit. Stupid media, stupid meteorologists.

The ice was so thick here today I could walk on it...without breaking through. :gle:

I'll take snow, though 30" does seem a bit much. I say bring on the summer!

My truck was reading 78 at 8:00pm tonight. No precipitation. The snow didnt hit us. Wonder why?

(Then again, its supposed to get cold in the next day or two.)

We got lucky..4 inches of snow plus a layer of ice. That makes 6.5 inches so far for the entire winter.

We got luckier - probably a foot of (fluffy) snow.

Yesterday our dog spotted a squirrel in the back yard and was frantic to get out into the yard. My wife opened the sliding door and he took of at full speed. After about 10 feet he came to a halt as he was up to his chest in snow and couldn't go any further.

snow storms suck. unless i get a snow day that day and get to go snowboarding. otherwise, i'll take a beach any day over snow.
