Just read Dennis Johnson died today while coaching practice for Boston's D-League affiliate.

DJ set the table that Bird, McHale, and Parish ate off of, and few frontcourts have ever eaten better. And he was the only guy who could slow down Magic at all in his prime. And of course he was all class to boot. He'll be missed.

Another tough blow for the Celtics franchise to endure. First Red, now DJ. Zen is right, class guy on some classy teams who was underrated because of the HOF caliber teammates he shared the court with. He was just as important to those '80s championship teams as anyone else was.

Definitely someone I hated with respect in the era of the 80's with LA v. BOS days.

Sad that he had to die so young and when the Celtics have hit rock bottom.
