Time Warner Cable Modem Promotions?

I need a good deal for one of those "Only $xx/mon for the first 6 months" type promotions. I'm in NYC and I believe Time Warner Cable is the only service provider in my neighborhood.

They may be the only cable provider but for cable internet you should be able to select from different providers. I have Time Warner in CA but use Earthlink for my internet service on the cable modem. You should be able to search for a list of providers in your area. Time Warner will still install the modem and be responsible for the hardware.

ZJ, you're totally right. Time Warner Cable installs it but I remember you get to choose from three services, Earthlink, Roadrunner, and another local service called NY Select or something. I just thought they were all just services owned by TWC. From the TWX website it didn't mention any promotions for the three. I might try looking at the individual websites for the three services. Thanks for the heads up!
