Not this year's model, it is the PANASONIC TH-50PX60U, but a very nice set at an unbelievable price. I am seriously considering this- available through Fry's/ Outpost.com. Cheaper than anything on PriceGrabber.

According to Amazon, one year warranty. They don't list shipping information so unless you plan on picking it up in person, that may add to the cost. I checked ground shipping to me and it was $120 which is not bad on an item this big. The model is also not as old as I thought- it was announced March last year. NewEgg has it at $1999 right now.
Might see if somewhere like Sears will do a price match +10%. http://www.sears.com/sr/misc/sears/mores_of_sears.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=Yes&vertical=ELEC#price
Sears also has a 10% rebate on electronics over $799 purchased with a Sears card ao that could really knock the price down.

Unfortunately checking online shows that it is unavailable for delivery to my zip code from Sears. Check your local store in person would be a good idea (or call them). If you can get all that to work, you could have it for $1376.19!

If Sears doesn't have it, try a 110% at Circuit City.

Shipping is confusing. The website says free shippin or $20 premium shipping on the item page but in your cart it later says in store pickup only.
Edit on my numbers above: The 110% price match is 110% of the DIFFERENCE. Not an extra $10% off but that will still save you some more money. For example, the Circut City price is $1999 so you would get $330 off that price or $1669. The Sears 10% rebate would still apply if you can find it at one of their stores and buy it with your Sears card.

I thought and thought about it and could not talk myself out of it. In fact, I continued to reinforce my opinion that it is a good deal so I ordered one. With tax and shipping it came to $1970. The newest Panasonic models are not expected until later in the year. And they won't be this price.

That is a good price. Panasonics usually are the best plasmas around. Just watch out for the black bars on non-HD channnels cause of burn-in. As long as you are balanced between non-HD and HD channels you should be fine. Enjoy!! Plasmas are great.

$1799 w/ free Harmony remote at www.vanns.com
$1799 w/ free shipping and no tax and free financing for 1 year from www.amazon.com (w/ Amazon credit account )
I have the 42" from Amazon and it took less than a week to arrive. XBOX 360 and the Wii are sick on it.

When this particular one was released last March, it was $3500. I received a shipping notice on Monday, but it is not here yet. I can't wait!

I picked up a dell 42 plasma last year.. Love it.. was trying for the panny but didnt want to swing the 3500. The panny was top on my list.. I have a 26" panny LCD in the bedroom and its great for that. The 23" samsung is plain compared to the panny.
Like a Visa card.. Watching HD Priceless........ Waiting for more HD content.....Painfull

Looks like the price has gone back up to $2299.
I have been saving and planning on a plasma for a long time. I was trying to wait until they got below $2000 and definately liked the Panasonics so I could not resist when I saw this deal. I had a call from the shipper today- they say they should be able to get it delivered after Tuesday (I have to schedule a day- don't know my schedule for next week yet). Wondering why it might take so long, they said it was coming from Ohio. As long as it arrives in good shape, I can afford to wait a bit longer.
