This game has been out for about a month and is bolstering somewhere between 150 to 250 subscribers for a MMO. Its said to be the re-encarnation of the Original EQ days (before expansions). Its not EQ2, but from initial reports.. people say thats its intuitive, and that all the classes are actually fun to play.

The stranger report is that the Healing Classes are actually fun to play (IE, they don't just stand there, meditate, and heal). Seems they have a much more active role in gameplay, and are the focal point for allot of combo's and damage.

Anybody play, have an opinion, etc?

150-250 subscribers? Do you mean 150-250k? Cause otherwise, that's not much of a subscriber base. I haven't played it, but I have looked into it. I'll probably wait for a free trial download of it.

Really brief initial report.

Played for about 4 hours yesterday (reached level 7). THe controls reminds me of Asherons Call.

The views are AMAZING and the world is literally HUGE. I haven't seen any instance or zoning yet (seems to be all seamless).

A huge variety of classes, and apparently crafting really matters. Someone in the guild I am in is 50% done with building their ship... Yea.. a floating ship.

You can buy a horse (mount) at level 10.

Druids aren't healers, but blasters.

Shaman, Clerics, Disciples (holy monks basically), and bloodmages are all healers.

On the healing bit. It actually matters that you do more than Sitback and heal. I "as a disciple", have 3 heals that require me to actually be active in combat to do. I have the basic mana heal, but also Heals by using my endurance instead, and another by using something called Jin (WOW's version of combo points).

This looks like it will be a Great title, but it is suffering initially from what I call, Asherons Call 2 Limbo. Its good, its there, and its fun.. they just need to add about 3 months worth of stuff and it'll be perfect.

ITs Definetly a Beta Product, but a good one. WOW is more polished, but this game is definetly more difficult, but in a fun way.

This may get up there with the Likes of Eve-Online.

I'll give you a more coherent report later on.
