I've visited some friends in the area, so I've only been there (and L.A., for that matter) once. About a year ago. Nice place. I rented a Mustang convertible. But it was bright yellow. And it was cold. Didn't expect the cold.

H <--embarrassed because while he was driving from the SD airport to the Carlsbad area, on the highway, while moving VERY slowly, he decided to put the top down, and it stopped (guess I exceeded 5 mph) halfway up. Looked like I was driving a yellow boat with a parachute. So if anyone remembers seeing someone like that about a year ago and laughing at him, it was yours truly.

I may be there for a few day in a couple of weeks or so to visit a buddy and his wife before ships out for SOCOM deployment.

I'll likely have a day or two off if I take off long enough, like Thursday night to Monday night or so. Would love to see as many as possible. :)

Take care everone. Would be nice to put faces and IRL names with the members and longterm friends and acquaintances here. feels like I know so many anyway. :)
