I’m obsessing again.
On a couple of things, really. Yesterday I talked about my home improvement bug, and who knows what magic combination will burn that out. I could buy a chair and be done, or I could find myself halfway through tearing apart the bathroom before I go, “hey, it’s miller time.”
My other obsession is HDTV.
See, now that I got the HDTV, I hooked up an antenna to get the locals in HD, and now that I’ve seen them, I’m looking at my DirectTV and going, “blech.” So obviously, I need to upgrade to HD.
Only I think I’m going to go with Dish, because I hate the DirectTV HD DVR, and because I think it will be a touch cheaper, and because I’m annoyed that my bill just went up 5 bucks when it wasn’t supposed to.
So now I’m obsessing about when I’d do it. Do I wait till spring, and after the fall season is over? Do I do it before the Sopranos start up again, so I can have HBO HD? Do I dither about it till my brains explode? If I do it now, will I need to shovel a path in my yard for the installers? Am I, in fact, insane on some technological level that I obsess about these things so damn much?
That last one is rhetorical.
