Mine would be Carl's jr. They really make a fantastic Spicy Buffalo Chicken sandwich in town. Plus I like their new blonde model named Ashley...she's definately much cuter than Paris Hilton.IMO

Red Robin, great burgers.

Everything there is a "burger", even if it isn't beef. They probably have 20 different kinds of burgers on the menu. I've been there 3 or 4 times and they're always good. They have the standard burgers, cheeseburgers, bacon cheeseburgers, mushroom and swiss burger, etc. Then they have unique stuff like burgers with guacamole on them and a bunch of others. And they serve beer in huge (maybe ~24oz) mugs.

At least on the part about the chick. She's definitely pretty hot.

At least on the part about the burgers. Five Guys churns out some good stuff. They're starting to franchise a bunch of shops out, though...hope the quality doesn't go down.

Five Guys (http://www.fiveguys.com/), Fuddruckers (http://www.fuddruckers.com/), Johnny Rockets (http://www.johnnyrockets.com/index2.php), Back Yard Burger (http://www.backyardburgers.com/home.asp), Cheeburger Cheeburger (http://www.cheeburger.com/) are my faves.

And, yes, gotta do In-N-Out (http://www.in-n-out.com/)whenever I go out west...

Honestly, there is a little Bar-B-Que joint back home that sells a burger that is SOOOOOOOO good that it just puts most "corporate burgers" to shame.

So my vote goes to "Blue Dot" in Pensacola, FL. :D

If you want to pick one-of-a-kind type of places, there's this joint called "Goldyburgers" in Forest Park, IL, that serves up a great burger.

In Lompoc,CA, there is a place called Tom's Hamburgers. They have a burger for every letter of the alphabet. I miss going there.

Around here, Memphis BBQ has great burgers.

If I am looking at a chain "fast food" when I crave a burger, it's Del Taco - weird huh? But they have great bacon cheeseburgers. When I worked mids at Walmart, it was the only place open near us so when I bought lunch it was there. I haven't had one in over 3 yrs. In fact, I can't remember last time I had a beef burger.

There are many great local joints here in Manhattan that specialize in burgers. Paul's Hamburgers, Burger Joint, Shake Shack, Corner Bistro, etc.

Despite how heavenly good these burgers are, I admit every once in a while I do crave a simple McD cheeseburger. I think it has something to do with the nostalgia factor. And I always visit In-and-Out when I'm in Cali.

99,000,000,000 is alot of hamburgers.

I'm sure they have long surpassed that number. I think most of the signs are only 2 digits, so they "stopped counting" any higher.

Well when I'm on the east coast I usually go to Hardees. They had a burger called the 6 Dollar Burger, because it was like a burger you'd get in a real restaurant--thick, with everything on it. Anyone has tried the spicy buffalo sandwich?

Spicy Buffalo is not too bad. Kind of plain....but not too bad.

But I do have to agree with Cheesy...Taylor's is AWESOME!

But if I have to get a burger from a chain store, then In N Out would be my pick. Double-Double animal style. aka...heart attack on a bun. :)

I can cook steak at home, and marinade it awesome so its better than the restaurant. When I go out, my burger comes with all the exotic toppings I want that would be too much of a pain to keep at home and assemble.

Well everyone can cook steak at home including me. But I don't. I go to this place called What's Your Beef and they make THE BEST black angus steak I've ever had. I usually keep the exotic stuff at home for salads..so a plain ol' steak is just what this old girl needs to keep the blood boiling sometimes. And it's just so much fun NOT to have to cook it myself once in a while.

There's a ton of places that go on my list, and the So Cal classics have already been listed (In-n-Out, Tommy's, Fatburger, and even Carl's Jr-even if they have widely expanded).

Even so, being in Korea- the land of expensive beef, I'm missing really good burgers right now. There are a few decent places, but nothing heart-attack inducing like back home.

I had a rabbit burger for dinner tonight in Montreal. I've had rabbit many times before, but not as a burger. It was very lean and tasted like a cross between chicken and pork. Good stuff, I love trying different things!

I really like the hot sauce on it maybe that is what gives it the taste. Either way I'm probably going to eat too many of these.

Actually, now that I think about it, the burgers at Port of Call in the back of the French Quarter were mighty fine.

And the chili cheeseburger at Deja Vu was a lifesaver at 4:30 in the morning after a successful night of debauchery. They were, however, not so appealing when ordered at 2:00 in the afternoon before work.

I used to love IN-N-OUT until I ate a 10 x 10 in college. Ever since then it hasn't been the same. It really wasn't THAT much food, but 10 patties and 10 slices of cheese?

I like Carl's Jr. as well but I have an issue with them. This is probably specific to certain locations, but the 8 or so carl's jr.s that I've been through over the past several years seem to have one thing in common. All their burgers/sandwiches are always a bit cold. Not frozen cold, but definitely not even warm. When you get lower quality fast food burgers, I need it to be at least warm-to-hot in temperature so that I don't notice the lower meat standards!

jason9
03-20-2007, 07:26 PM
Yeah agree with you Yellow. I think it may be just some certain franchisees who don't really know how to prepare their burgers. Good thing I haven't had that same experienced before at Carls or even at Hardees. Lucky me!

There's always a long line in In and Out, so I have to make shift to Carl's Jr. Love their low carb six dollar burger, which is bun free and my new all time fave the buffalo chicken sandwich.
