Swimming laps sounds way to much like exercise to me !! I'm mouthy. Oh alright bitchy. I would probably told the mom to get out and take care of her kids. Is there a sign that designated hours just for lap swimmers ? Maybe the way to go is try to get one put up. Then you could tell the mom to take her brats home.

Should have given the lifeguard a few choice words as well; sounds like he/she wasn't doing their job.
