Just thought I ask! I know I do in two of my desktops and one of my laptops.

I've got a LS-120 drive (I originally got it to save the IRQ on my previous system). I occasionally copy things to a floppy, and use it especially to load Raid drivers during XP installs.

I don't anymore, but if you do, remember: Don't Copy That Floppy! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Xfqkdh5Js4) ;)

Oh yeah - you never know when you might have to do something like load up SATA or SCSI drivers at boot time.

can't you load those drivers onto a flash drive or something?
i don't. i think macs went away with them awhile ago.

Yup I still have one....
Mostly for use with my Ghost 2003 boot disk and Memtest86 test disk.

I have one on my desktop still, but only because it's a few years old.
I doubt I'll ever use one again...

I still have a couple older computers with a 3 1/2 drive, but any of my newer computers don't have them. I usually don't have a need for a floppy drive anymore. I may pick up a USB drive and eliminate the built-in drives form all my computers.

Yep, I have one. I had to look 'cause I didn't know if it was still in there or not.
I'm amazed that a floppy is still standard for RAID drivers. Why can't they be loaded via CD or flash??

That's because XP's installer is based off code going back to NT 4.0 (if not even NT 3.51 -- hard to say), and Microsoft never bothered to re-write the code to accommodate USB flash drives (partly because USB flash drives didn't become mainstream until after XP was released). For CDs however, I do agree they could have gone that route -- as even in 2001, CD-Rs were inexpensive enough to "waste" one for a driver CD.
All this is fixed with Vista however...and for those with XP, you can always try slipstreaming the drivers into a custom install CD.

My PC still has one in it, but only to load the SATA drivers when I install XP. Of course my Macs don't.
