Quite frequently, Canon has a decent mail-in rebate deal where if you purchase any combination of bodies/lenses/flashes, you can get a decent chunk of change off the price . . . several hundred dollars. It's usually not tied to any specific retailers.

Also, the 40d is expected shortly, so you might wait until that is released.

It is hard to find deal from legitimate companies (that would include a warranty) on digital SLRs and accessories. Keep an eye on Dell- they do carry the 30D as a body only. They often run specials in their accesories category. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=bsd&cs=04&sku=A0624042 Sometimes you can get coupons for them (Dell) on eBay but make sure you get one from somebody with good feedback. You would have to pick up your lenses separately since that lens does not normally come with the body.
