Walking through a hardware store (Menards). Guy standing at a display on an aisle asks "Do you know about the rule of 72s?" and I respond "Yep". He asks "What is it, then?" and I say "You divide 72 by your interest rate to find out how many years it will take for your investment to double. And you work for Primerica." I was right on both counts. :hihi:

I usually respond to people with petitions or registering people to vote with "Sorry, I'm a felon and can't vote."

I got a call once to switch long distance carriers (back when I still had a land line) and told them I didn't need long distance because I don't have a phone. "Oh, ok. Sorry to bother you then." :D

I'm still not liking the new color scheme. Quoted text is too faint, and everything generally looks washed out and boring. It's as if Obby bleached my monitor.

This thread might as well have been a personal invite to me to post in it. I'm a big fan of the rant.

Commercials are my #1 pet peeve.

The verizon commercial with the guy in the gym. "Hey bawd. I just got the new fallout boy song cause I'm like totally surfed out cause that's what gym guys sound like and it gets me pumped!" <procedes to wag his finger around like a retard in a finger painting contest> Swing and a miss verizon. You suck.

I absolutely can't stand the Kia Rondo commercial.

"Giddyupidness?" "Steerology?" A bunch of idiots holding their hands in the air and swaying to a crappy song? Every time it comes on, I'm just hoping there's a guy out there who runs onto the commercial to give one of those hand waiving asshats a swift kick in the junk. Feel that, sunshine?

This is worse than the chevy commercial with a bunch of yuppy tools jumping off buildings and overpasses to claim their car or truck. By the way, notice how they all race to the car on the delivery truck and touch it with their hand to claim it? As if your gentle hand-touch is going to pursuade someone like me to not to ninja kick you and throw you off said delivery truck if I want that car badly enough. It's not a game of tag from preschool. I don't see lawsuits over title control based on who had their hand on the damned thing first. And given the slow car sales, there's no rush to claim your chevy today you sheep.

Thanks. I needed that.

in one month, car dies, buy new one(and dive farther into debt) wreck the company van, fall on black ice and have to change a tire the next day, dump the gf, things weird with the old one(but in a good way) turn 21, and no one shows

I'm not a vegetarian but do we really need bigger burgers at the fast food joints these days? I thought they had maxed out what was possible but they keep adding more cheese and more bacon and more burger. Do we really need it?
