I can't find the original thread, but I got my Paper and Paperclips today! :)

Only complaint is, couldn't they have used a bigger box for the paperclips? I mean come on... what the heck!

That's funny bro. Amazing that Office Depot makes a profit doing stuff like this.

If they were smart, they would add a "Forget the paper clips and give me free shipping (or the discount) anyway" option (or "coupon code") on the order page (as long as your total was within the "paper clip price" of the necessary limit to obtain the discount). It would save them having to ship unwanted items, and probably save them money. I think that customers would get a kick out of it, too.

What are you talking about unwanted?! I needed this box of Paperclips! :) Actually, the box is good for shipping out items that I sell online! :) even comes with that big Blow up Cushion thing.

Heh heh... back in 2000 when there were deals like this at all the office supply stores, I had a whole drawer full of brand new boxes of paper clips, from constantly tacking them on to hit the free shipping limit. One of my co-workers came to my house and saw it, and accused me of stealing from work!
