Whoa, must have some serious bucks!

But seriously, I don't think anyone sells Aeron chairs but HM's own company. It was in Wired magazine a couple of months ago...

I love these chairs, however they can be too bouncy at times...Bouncy Bouncy Bouncy http://smilecwm.tripod.com/net2/multi.gif

Comfortliving.com a webrx.com store carries them, so maybe go here (http://www.dealhunting.com/store.asp?merch=259&go.x=15&go.y=9) and then to here (http://www.comfortliving.com/herman_miller.htm)

I have no idea what the big deal is. I've been sitting in these things for the last 6 months, and I'm not convinced in the sleightest that they're any more comfortable than a good conventional chair. I did sit in the Leap chair, though, and was VERY pleasantly surprised. I believe that's about the same amount of money. Just do a google search for "leap chair".

They also have durability problems; my own chair is starting to get a little loose and rattly, and the lumbar support has a habit of just sliding off. I'm really unimpressed.

Thanks ppl for your replies and your opinions.
I'll check out all the points you made. If you
have any other chairs you've seen that are good
let me know. I spend alot of time either reading
or on the computer. Thanks again.

Got one about 5 years ago and spent about a grand.

There's a place in Chicago that extended me an interior designer's discount on a bunch of HM stuff (30% off).

They have locations in NYC, LA, and CHGO.

Visit http://hometown.aol.com/modernica1/index1.htm

Oh, and one other option.

Since the Tech Wreck, a bunch of Dot Bombs have gone belly up and sold their furniture.

There are several (although I can't name them) used furniture dealers who can give you a good deal on an Aeron.

Call the dealers in your area and then try a few in Silicon Valley and Silicon Alley.

Question sunshine, would they give me a int designer
discount if I contact the LA store?

I'd try it.

One update, though, after reviewing their web site I'm not sure they're still selling HM.

You can check out the Small Business Dealer page to find dealers in your area and see if you can get a great deal:

You may want to tell them you're planning on buying a number of chairs for an office and want to buy one as a test first...
