New monitor

I need a new monitor sometime soon. The old CRT I have works, but the damn thing is massive and I think it's due time to upgrade since it hails from the days of my old Pentium II Compaq. I'm thinking about this LG (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824005088). Thoughts anyone?

LCD monitors are so inexpensive these days. I picked up an Acer 17" AL1716 at Staples about 6 months ago for about $170 after rebate. It works great, for gaming and regular day to day applications.

Best thing to do is check out the local stores to see which one gives you the best picture.

i fi had 629 to blow i would get the dell 24". i have the viewsonic 20" widescreen.. pretty happy with it.. newegg scares me on returns of monitors so maybe buy close to home

2ms typical response time. if it really does that, its a great monitor.
in contrast the dell 22" LCD does 5ms typical.

speaking of contrast, the LG has 3000:1. The dell only has 800:1.

personally, im cheap. id be getting the dell instead for $276 (at the moment).
