It's a blue monday. Mostly because it rained all weekend long, and the week is promising more rain, more cold, and...snow. 81 degrees it was last Monday. Now I'm waiting on snow.

Stupid state.

I had a mellow weekend. I saw some speakers that interested me on Saturday, which made me ponder that now that I've done the TV upgrade, it's time to consider an upgrade to the speakers and tuner. Of course, I need to save the cash first, so this isn't a spur of the moment thing. This will involve months and months of obsessive compulsive behavior, as I float between things like Mirage Omni directional speakers for space, or say, some monster sized speakers because I like a big sound. It will involve wonder just how much power I want in a tuner, and many trips to the store, and eventually, say around Xmas time, my head will explode.

Eh, it gives me something to do.

Anyway, also played some Crackdown, played some games with Sam, watched Happy Feet. Happy Feet is pretty good, though the last 5 minutes are both heavy handed and really really rushed. It's an odd movie, and I don't have a problem with the message really, but after a fairly long build up, it sort of tripped over it and then clubbed you with it at the same time.

Sunday I finished Crackdown, and was sad. That was a damn fun game. I suppose, since Guitar Hero 2 is out this week, and Super Paper Mario next week, that it is for the best, but that game was just a blast to play. I was never big on the GTA games or their clones, but Crackdown finally gives me what I wanted in those games, proper aiming, and a sense of being mighty. I don't play video games to be as klutzy as I am in real life.

Right now I'm trying to type this one handed as I have a 3 year old munching on gold fish on my lap. Which is fine with me, except I can't feel the fingers in my left hand. But we are happy enough.

Though what we really want is some friggin' sun. Sigh.

You go have a day.
