Got a call last night @ 1am and my mom's best friend is finally found a donor for a lung transplant!!! I can't believe it!!! I'm sooooo happy!!! She's @ UCLA med center as I type getting the transplant!!!

She has been waiting over 3 years... but got bumped up the list recently due to severity (sp?)... she's doing great so far... can't do really that much yet... but i'll keep you guys posted :)

That both sucks and is awesome!
I mean, sucks for the person whose lung it was, but so great that your mom's friend is getting another leasae on life for it.

Which reminds me to be the sacrimonious voice from on high: Donate your organs, people! You're not gonna use them anyways!

went to visit her in the hosipital... kinda crazy... she received one lung and this other lady received the other... both are in the same room... she can finally open her eyes... but is still heavily medicated...
