Kevster

Hey everyone, Mrs. Kevster and I need some advice on names for our little girl coming in a couple weeks. We have a short list and we both have our favorites, and we were wondering what your opinions were for certain names. I also am a big fan of Johnny Cash, so I thought about the song, 'A Boy Named Sue' and go with a name like Fred. You know, it's a name like Fred that would help to make her strong. I know that the G|A community is full of great ideas ;) so I'd thought I'd lob it out there to get some opinions.

Not quite as severe as Fred, but you could name her Georgia and call her George (ala "Dead Like Me").

how about you take your name and the wifes name and anagram them into something new and unique

I voted for Erin. When thinking about names it's hard to not associate any potential name with people I've known who have that name. I've known several good Erins, so that's a definate plus; one of my friends is dating one of them. But another one of my friends got dumped by an Erin he was engaged to, so there's also some negatives associated with that name too. But I still like Erin as a name anyway.
Gotta admit, I was tempted to vote for Fred. If you plan on abandonning her, she'd be one tough chick if she had a name like Fred.
As a sidenote, if I were to be anticipating the arrival of a baby girl, some of the names I would consider are Julie, Holly, and Jennifer.

You forgot Porsche, Infiniti and BMW. Hehe, I kid, I kid. :)
No offense Kevs, but i'm not jumping for joy with either name. However, if you had to put a gun to my head and tell me to pick one, I'd go with Erin...but thats only IF you put a gun to my head. :D

Thanks for all the suggestions so far, folks! I like how most of you like my favorite, Erin. Mrs. Kevster likes Anna and I had Maureen as an alternate. I'm still partial to Fred as well, though I could go for Meg/Ron. ;) The reason for these names (the first three, at least) is that there's not a whole lot of names that will go well with my very Irish last name. Generally I went with names that appear in my family tree that haven't already been used by my cousins. Her middle name is going to be Elizabeth, after Mrs. Kevster's grandmother.

names are very important in a child's growth, i read on the parenting magazine that a name can make a break a child, stay aways from names that other kids can polk fun of, even though you may like it!! some names i would suggest are:
Emma
Adrianna
Cambria <---------- I really like this name, if i had a girl that would be her name!
oh yeah and Kev. CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =)

Or Gretchen.
Haha, in all seriousness, I like Erin the best.
I can't believe that you're putting the name of your child at the whim of us motley fools.
