And it makes Coke, Sprite, beer, etc., taste like crap. No carbonation. Also commonly gives you kidney stones and can cause acute glaucoma - more often than originally thought.

That said, it's a great anticonvulsant, and works well for a lot of things. Some people find it works as a mood stabilizer as well.

The only other bad thing I can think of, though, is that it kind of makes you stupid. Word-finding difficulties, etc. A lot of us call it "Dopamax."
