I have a 6 5.25" bay external scsi case for sale. For pictures of it, click here:

The 2 CD drives in the picture will not be included (unless you pay extra, of course :)
Inside the SCSI case are 2 power supplies. I think that thye are about 200 watts each (or it's one REALLY powerful power supply, like 350 or 400 watts). Then, there are connections from the outside to the inside for up to 4 SCSI-2 devices, and 4 UW 68 pin devices. There can only be 6 devices in all, however...unless you can figure out a way to cram it in?
All cables are included, including power cord. There is a 3' long SCSI-2 external cable, and a 2' long 68 pin UW SCSI-3 cable included. All cables for the inside are included, too.
Then I have an internal to external converter. This goes from the Adaptec 2940UW card. The other side goes to the external SCSI case. If you've used the Adaptec 2940UW card, you know that there are only 3 connections on it: external 68 pin, and internal 68 pin and internal 50 pin (for CDroms, and other scsi 2 devices). Since I wanted my CD-writer and DVD drive in the SCSI case, I got this internal to external converter, so that I can have 50 pin SCSI-2 devices outside of the normal computer case.
Inside the SCSI case, I will include a used 47 GB Ultra Wide SCSI hard drive. This is a full height drive made by Seagate. I bought it refurbished about 8 months ago...have not had ANY problems with it whatsoever. It's about 44 gigs in size after a format. It's a full height drive, though....not standard size. But fits in the SCSI case just fine. It takes of 2 of the 6 total 5.25" slots, though, darn. It has a standard 68 pin ultra wide scsi connection.
And finally, the Adaptec 2940 UW card. It's in my computer now, not being used. But I will have to use it one more time if I get rid of this thing, because I have 44 gigs of Mp3's on the hard drive! I can include this to the buyer at his/her discretion.
I'm looking to get around $500+ s/h for all this stuff. Or, I would be willing to trade it for new or used hard drives. I am looking for LARGE IDE HARD DRIVES. A good deal for me would be 2 80 gig drives :). Would anyone be willing to do that? How about 3 60 gig drives? or 4 40 gig drives? Any offers? Lemme know :)
I live in the SF bay area. Willing to drive it to anywhere in the area, so long as it isn't too far. Also, I'll be going to the LA / San diego area for new year's, so there is a possibility there also.
Email me at [email protected] for offers.
Thanks for your time!
