SS: Escrow was late by a week, and we had to juggle our move around. The Chinese food delivery guy was 2 hours late & they only offered "free egg rolls next time" as compensation. And we discovered that our fireplace & washing machine are really really loud. But, these are nothing compared to the NSS!

NSS: In an amazing act of generosity, 9 of Graf's co-workers volunteered (we didn't ask, they just showed up) to help us move on their lunch hour. So, yesterday we had this mini-army of guys showing up, and before we knew it, our apartment was almost empty! They did in 3 hours what we'd figured was going to take us 4 days by ourselves. These weren't even co-workers who were close friends - most of them I'd never met! They just were all inspired to help, and we were just blown away by the act. YAY for awesome people!

NSS: Last night, we slept in our condo for the first time. We took a bath in a tub that we owned, and didn't run out of hot water. We ran our first load of laundry that didn't require digging up all the quarters we could find. I made cookies in our kitchen, and didn't run out of counter space. We got to leave this morning w/o coordinating who was behind who (previously we had tandem parking, now it's side-by-side). And oh yeah, did I mention, we're now first time home-owners?!?!?!? YAY!!!!!!!!!!

yay for you!! Read the condo rules. Some associations are super anal about putting out the trash and what color blinds you have in eye shot.

CONGRATS TO BOTH OF YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i got mi own casa end of february, and it FEELS SO GOOD OWNING where you live. though its more than twice what i used to pay for rent (rent was ultra cheap), writing out the mortgage checks DO NOT hurt one itty-bitty bit. and the way its worked out for me, each check will be sweet as honey.

ah, the joys of being a homeowner. :) congrats again!
