Well, the only show my wife and I would look forward to each week got canceled. This really sucks. I understand it was going against American Idol, but why not move it? With such a great storyline and cool characters and memorable lines ("this isn't my first tank experience") I am going to miss this show. At least I have Harry Potter to look forward to for another 5 years. Oh wait. :(

i guess Fox isn't the only tv station with terrible judgement.

Shows are always canceled to early. Or because they put them in the wrong spots.
My mom loved that show. I never really watched it though.

Gee, first Surface and now Jericho -- (Surface was NBC)..... I'm really beginning to hate watching new shows now. :(
Seriously though, maybe it will prompt the networks to realize the whole mid-season breaks are not worth it (I never understood what went through their minds to allow that in the first place).
Sad day indeed. :(
Oh, and LINK (http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/TV/05/16/tv.newseason.ap/index.html) for proof that it's cancelled).

The other big problem was these "mini seasons" that more and more shows are getting. They make a group of episodes, take 4 weeks off, and then put on another bunch of episodes. If a show i want to see if off for weeks, i tend to forget when its on and i stop watching. This happened with lost and jericho. I was with it till the first hiatus and then i would forget and just be doing something else.
Sucks too, i really liked the idea. and they had a fair amount of mystery which gave it a touch of lost.. i liked it. now i am sad.

Yeah, me too. It's interesting because once they canned the show (you can see the remaining episodes of the season online) it started to get much better. :disa:

I too like the Black Donelleys. Ugh. Hmmm...Surface. I remember watching that but there was another show that was almost the same. Forgot what it was called but it debuted the same season.
Jericho I never watched but heard it was good.

A snippit from my LiveJournal entry of 5/17/07 @ 1pm:
THEY, whomever “they” are keep cancelling my shows gosh-darn-it. Drive - gone. Jericho - gone. Raines - gone. Six Degrees - gone. The Black Donnelly’s - gone. And I dunno, probably more and I’ve just not realized yet. Asses.
I only watch ‘tv’ online anymore. They air it on one night and the next morning they are available online. I don’t mind waiting and if I see/hear something about the show, I don’t mind, so it’s prefect for me.
I wish they'd go back to a huge block of shows over a longer period of time then a long break of reruns and filler shows. Then back to the 'season'.

It's stuff like this that explains why I pretty much have personally boycotted "Network TV Programming" for the most part. (Yes, there are a few exceptions... like "Survivor" but for the most part, ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX are on my "don't watch, don't care list...and I'll watch the CW on Mondays and when ANTM is on :D )
Thank god for Discovery, TLC, Cartoon Network, SpikeTV, VH1, BET, and Sci-Fi Channel. :D

No History Channel?? :spock:
I watch most shows when they come out on DVD cause I am just like that. But it always sucks when there is only 1 or 2 seasons , and they don't really finish the storyline.
At least with LOST they gave the writers an "End Date" so in theory, everything will wrap up before they stop airing in like 3 years or whatever.

DF, you should check out TNT too. The Closer is fantastic. :D and USA with Monk & Psych. Psych especially. Dule Hill & James Roday are hysterical.

Honestly, I don't really like TNT (it just doesn't appeal to me)... and I only watch USA when Monday Night RAW is on. :D

Jericho fans are proving to be da bomb at marshalling their resources.
The monstrous public outcry surrounding the show's cancelation prompted CBS' entertainment president Nina Tassler to take the unusual step of posting the following message at CBS.com over the weekend...
To the fans of Jericho:
We have read your emails over the past few days and have been touched by the depth and passion with which you have expressed your disappointment. Please know that canceling a television series is a very difficult decision. Hundreds of people at the Network, the production company and the incredibly-talented creative team worked very hard to build and serve the community for this show -- both on-air and online. It is a show we loved too.
Thank you for supporting Jericho with such passion. We truly appreciate the commitment you made to the series and we are humbled by your disappointment. In the coming weeks, we hope to develop a way to provide closure to the compelling drama that was the Jericho story.
Sincerely,
Nina Tassler, President of CBS Entertainment

yeah, but if they give us one more episode (just for closure's sake) I would be happier than the way the show ended. It was the first time - the first time - my wife and I have ever watched a show from its inception in the 17 years we've been together. Silly as it sounds, we're feeling a loss over here. New town, struggling with jobs and not happy. This was our escape. damn damn damn.

Jericho fans, check this out:
My latest blog post with some great links: http://www.tvismypacifier.com/?p=100
And go to http://www.nutsonline.com/jericho
Fans have ordered and sent over 16000 pounds of peanuts to CBS. The number grows by the minute. The guys there are fantastic! And they have never even seen the show! lol

thats kind of funny actually. I guess CBS if anything will have a "lifetime supply" for their Christmas Bonus at the end of the year.

Over 23000 pounds of nuts now -- insane. :)
I didn't believe my friend when he talked about it Friday (and I didn't see the updates in this thread).

Aww. Well that's kind of boring, cause they have an easy way to get rid of it! Kinda defeats the purpose. But I guess at least the troops get to eat a lot of free nuts :)
