I don't want to sound stupid....but what exactly are these things? Are they like cooling fans for CPU's? Or what are they?

hi tambrus,you are not sounding stupid!the block's are mounted to your cpu via a specially made clamp,you hook up the rest of the water cooling system,and go higher with your over clocking,than with regular air cooling,its a long story but here here some cool websites to check out on watercooling/overclocking http://www.highvoltagepc.com
