Didnt you just get a upconverting DVD player? I was reading up on HDMI for my PS3 and saw that the other day...
Now you have 2 upconverting DVD players... (once you download the PS3 firmware update)

I might get one in the next couple of weeks. Still trying to decide on the PS3 or the 360. I have heard that with the new line of 360 games, it is arguably the better system at the moment. Of course, the wii would be nice too ;)

I guess I do have 2 now (I really wasn't expecting her to spring for a PS3 though).

Will that auto update when I get up and running wirelessly.

She bought it at Target last week and CC is offering a free controller, thus it goes back to Target for the old switcharoo.

Go to "System update" once you get your wireless up...
Also go for all the free playable demos from the playstation store:
HD Gran Turismo
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Super Rub Dub
Virtua Tenis 3
etc...

I purchased via download Calling all Cars, its a fun party game.
And Flow (pretty much an HD flash game)
