Usually when a person is that accurate at predicting things, it turns out they are secretly causing them.

A cat that likes to watch people die - where's the mystery in that?

Dosa said Oscar seems to take his work seriously and is generally aloof. "This is not a cat that's friendly to people," he said.

Well duh, he's a minion of the dark lord. Stealing people's souls is serious work.

animals just have that way about them. Dogs will do the same thing. Heck it doesn't have to be death. There are cases of dogs alerting their owners of cancer and when the owner is pregnant, they will guard her the day of delivery.

Not too weird.

weird but true. Animals have better senses. We've been desensitized by all our reliance on technology and doctors.

Blah, i wouldn't want to know.

I emailed my "theory" to the authors of Freakonomics last night (I read their blog) and they mentioned me!

the morning show here in pittsburgh was talking about this and one of the jokes was about how the old people were so out of they didn't notice and that "there would be no practical jokes there, like putting tuna in someones pocket"

HAH! That's the same question I posed to my friend when she emailed me this story last night!

yeah, like Chrissy said. this isnt uncommon.

when i was growing up, ive heard stories and seen pets who have an ability to sense death. they know when someone's nearing the end, and come by and sit next to the dying. in fact, ive known people that make sure the cats are close by when someone is terminally ill.

its been said that the cats not only accompany the dying, but guard against evil, making sure the souls of the dead pass on unharmed. this belief has been regarded since ancient Egypt or Mesopotamia.

of course, if you dont believe in that, and think its bullsh!t, thats up to you. these days of modern tehnology and soulless beliefs, anything else that isnt scientific IS bullsh!t.
