I hate the stuff. And yes, even though I don't buy cheap stuff (Clinique only please)for when I do need to wear it, I absolutely HATE IT. Now my eyes are swollen and my face itches like a bikini wax gone bad..I could never EVER wear makeup everday. I think I'd rather shoot myself in the head than have to apply, dab, smooth, powder,and outline on a daily basis..ugh. I'm not made for this stuff. Just give me my red lipstick and let me be on my way..*sigh*..:eye:

Stop wearing Clinique since your skin is obviously allergic to the products! Swelling and itchiness means that you are wearing cosmetics that are not compatible with your skin type.

Look into getting mineral based products instead like Illuminare or Bare Escentuals. My co-worker cannot wear most products because she gets similar allergic reactions and redness. She can wear the mineral based products because they are more gentle on her hyper-sensitive skin.

It's with ANY kind of cosmetics...and yes, I have had bare minerals. Bought those when they first came out..same results. ANY kind of makeup, and then again, any kind of face lotion with the exception of Clinique and Oil of Olay Regenerist makes my face itch. My eyes are still swollen and itchy this morning..it sucks.

and this is why I don't wear makeup at all. I was forced to for my wedding and they had to borrow from everyone there to get the right stuff for my coloring and I totally do not look like myself. I will pass, I was made to look this way and it is the way I will look. I don't need make up and even BigJon says so.

Hi, I pretty much feel the same general adversion to make-up and cosmetics products because I have EXTREMELY SENSITIVE SKIN... but the one brand I absolutely love is called Everyday Minerals (http://www.everydayminerals.com/). It is different from Bare Minerals, which I tried too. Anyway, you can get free samples to figure out what shades you like best and only have to pay a couple of dollars in shipping.

I am definitely not the type of person who wears make-up everyday, just a little eyeliner and mascara, but I highly suggest trying this out.

Eeew, I hate that crap too. I don't even like stuff in my hair- no gel, spray, etc. The only thing I do use is some toe nail polish in the non-summer months (not in sandal weather, I'm too chicken for that). :D
