View Full Version : Getting a Xbox 360 on the cheap. Suggestions?

I'm mainly picking it up for a few main reasons.

1) Halo 3
2) Gears of War series (1st one too short though)
3) Fable 2
4) COD 4
5) Bioshock

Any other game recommendations?

I'm getting an XBox360 just for Halo 3. I'll wait to see if they offer some kind of bundle when the game is released in about 6 weeks. If not I'll just search around fleabay or something, maybe get one on the cheap

A buddy of mine just got an elite so I'm picking up his premium for 250 w/ 2 controllers and a couple of other accessories.

Isn't GOW coming out for PC? Plus, you hardly have time for the systems you do have. Beat the two Metriod Primes and then we'll talk ;)

Yeah I know. I'm actually in the process of beating prime 1 and red steel. Been playing more lately. Almost beat Fable on the PC too.

Make sure you get an Xbox Live Gold account..It's completely worth the $50 a year. You get to d/l demos and buy cheap, yet fun 'mini-games'.

The company said its most popular console, which comes with a 20-gigabyte hard drive, will cost $349.

A basic console without a hard drive or wireless controllers will retail for $279, $20 less than its current price, while the Xbox 360 Elite, a black version with a 120-gigabyte hard drive and high-definition video support, will drop $50 to $449.

Dead Rising is awesome fun. The upcoming Eternal Sonata is going to be awesome as well. Marvel Ultimate Alliance is awesome to play through with several friends.

Really? I played with friends and it was awesome. Lots of trash talking and trying to steal peoples kills. We played co-op but then found arcade is awesome so you can compete for kills and scores. And the characters crack me up.
But i'm easily entertained, i love burnout revenge, and aegis wing, so perhaps i have no right to talk. Ooh and Gears was a blast.

by the way Airen, did you beat the game and listen to the credits? That was sooo great.


p.s. does anyone know where to get a cheap xbox 360 harddrive? is ebay my only haven?
