License issue could affect older downloadable games
Valve and id Software may be facing a problem with their previously announced plans to link up, after keen-eyed community members spotted a potentially illegal flaw in the new Steam offerings.
Eurogamer reports that apparently some of the older downloadable id games use a program called DOSBox so they can be played on today's computers.
However, there's a problem in that all of the various documentation is missing from the installed directories, specifically the General Public Licence.
Valve and id are yet to address the problem, and were unavailable for comment at the time of writing.
Haven't checked this morning, but they were still available yesterday afternoon...I'm sure they'll get this worked out somehow.
