Do they fantasize in their mind what it would be like to be with them emotionally and physically?

Funny, but I never thought about this until recently.

Odd question. I think when there's a physical attraction, the women fantasize physically. When the attraction is anything other than physical I imagine they fantasize just like I fantasize about being at the beach or driving a car. They just visualize being alone with the person walking against a nice scenery or something.

Short answer: no.

A woman immediately begins formulating devious plans for how she can ensnare the potential mate and what he can be used for. The most powerful tool at her disposal is seduction. Her goals can include money, status, sexual gratification, outright psychological domination, etc. As cute and flirtatious and attractive and harmless as they can seem, do not be fooled: this is only a front for their manipulative and exploitive nature. Women are the spawn of Satan and no good can come from associating with them. A woman will pounce on a vulnerable man like a shark that smells blood.

Monty Python provides us with this great metaphor for women (see figs 1+2).

Figure 1: Woman spies her prey. Man is lured in.

Figure 2: Man gets within striking distance. Attack!

Johnny-the answer you are looking for is NO. MOST women do not become initially attracted to someone they just met. We are not pigs like men, who, when seeing a big pair of knockers, already are plotting on how to get some women into the sack.

Obie I am offended. If I was to make a generalized comment like that against women, then I am a sexist. What is this double standard?

Yeah, exactly. And there are some Men on this board that I guarantee don't see a big pair of knockers and start thinking about how to get them in the sack!

And then again some of us that look at other parts of the female anatomy for that!

what i find is that most women, are not initially sexually attracted to guys. a average guy with a higher intelligence has a much better shot then a dumb stud. also the go after the quite guys more. i don't know why but the ones who are minding their own business they pursue with more fever, from a sexual standpoint. Also the less you talk to more attracted they get. <mind you this is from just a just-met-you-but-want-to-bone-you standpoint

that is true for most women. But not all.. We have one at work that goes after guys for looks all the time. She is currently dating a guy that is dumb as a rock, but has a nice body.. But I don't think she dates him with any "Future intentions" in mind, and that's actually part of the point for her.

She doesn't want the permanent thing that most women want, so she finds the ones she won't stay with.

Not really. I hope you are kidding and not trally trying to prove your point with DF's comment. Just because some behave a certain way, it's no reason to generalize the whole sex. I believe that sort of gerneralization is called sexism.

oh come on, you know that df is just joking, and that theres 4-5 of us here who AREN't all about the pysical attraction.

hell, i can't do a one night stand. call me a wuss, but i actually enjoy the nights where i talk to a woman for hours and nothing sexual happens. it normally means that we actually realize there's an attraction beyond physical and it makes other aspects of a relationship that much more exciting

maybe cuz I am drunk.

so, don't hold this against me.

I have fantasized about guys and I know I cna't be the only one. I mean, come one! (mel gibson!, bruce Willis, topane!)

It's part of animal attraction. Girls have to size men up - maybe different reasons that we do. But we do.

speak for yourself!! I don't fantasize about sex, but if I see a particularly hot guy, I have fantasized about how nice it would be to run my hands up his muscular arms, or make out. I wouldn't attempt a relationship on that fact alone, but I can certainly appreciate a fine male specimen!! :naughty: Doesn't make me a pig, thank you very much, just a normal person with a sex drive.

As for the idea that women aren't usually into the physical attraction - why then are trashy romance novels such a hot market? The basic formula for a trashy romance novel is: Woman hates a man, but he's so freakin' sexy that she can't help being attracted to him, and then discovers his softer side, and falls in love, and they live happily ever after on the pirate boat. :heh:

:stupid: it's just part of being human. Maybe I won't when I'm past menopause, old, and have absolutely zero libido, but I don't see anything wrong with appreciating a hot guy.

I can't imagine a woman reading a romance novel, yawning and not putting a face of someone they know into that script.

Just ain't happening.

Maybe I wasn't clear. I believe that when women read romance novels that they will put a face on the guy in the novel. And I believe it would be very easy to put the face of a guy they are attracted to and they personally know.

Just an opinion.

Is that what they're calling it these days?

I can't speak for women, but I'm reminded of a book from my Psychology of Human Sexuality class (lo, those years ago) by Nancy Friday- My Secret Garden, a collection of fantasies by women.

So I'd say there's ample evidence that it does happen, even if it's less prevalent.
