golf is the reason I got divorced..lol
a scrimmage is nothing more than a quick game..just to go do..just like a scrimmage football or basketball game..
just hit the ball, and make sure when someone else is hitting the ball you cough, sneeze, talk real loud or sing..you'll be the hit of the party. :)

thanks oblongmelon . i think i be enough of a pain that they wont ask me back again ever . but im smarter now . i really don't know crap about the game of golf . i know the ball os small and hard .and they are good to use to drill a hole in and tie a string thought . then hung from a ceiling in a grage .so when you tap it on the wind shield of a car .you know this is were to stop and park so the garage door will close and the rear of the car is not to close to the door or you drive into the wall of the garage .
thanks for the info again oblongmelon :)

don't try to get cute

focus on hitting one club well

that's all you need

Putting is putting... focus on the 6 or 7 iron

This is what I know about golf I'm pretty good at it. Golf is just like shooting pool but you're outside and it's called a club/putter instead of a cue and there's no chalk and there's more stuff in the way instead of just other balls and you can actually walk/ stand on the course! But ball --> hole is the same goal and balls bounce off of walls in much the same way with the angles and stuff. And the surface is usually green and bordered with wood too. The windmill can be a bitch you gotta time it just right by guessing how long it will take your ball to get there and hitting it so that it goes between the blades.

And PS a word of advice don't let your ball go in the last hole 'cause you usually don't get it back if it does but if you hold on to it you can play again if they don't catch you!

if you've never played golf before, i suggest hitting up a driving range a couple times a week just to get in the golfing mode.

Scrimmage? Maybe they said scramble?

I don't think I've heard the term scrimmage associated with golf.

Either way I wouldn't get too worked up about it. They're usually lots of fun.

Heh....I'm terrible at golf. I shank the ball so badly when I drive it. Slice....it....? Whatever it is when I hit it and it goes to the right.

goto the driving range and drop 20-30 on a ****load of balls. and take every club but your putter and hit 30-40 with each club, that way you get a feel for each and see the ranges. don't try the ball, just make solid contact. keep your head and shoulders 'down'(don't stand up when you swing) and don't immediately look for the ball when you hit it, take an extra second or so to see the club head make contact

course, i also don't try to change my swing, i just play my slice...
