This one is "really" annoying. I think this is what happens when the Miss Teen South Carolinas of the world become English teachers. Its like nails on a chaulkboard. eeeeugh, pleeeease make it stop... :ugh: :bonk:

I don't get it. Do you not approve of the blog, or join in its "complaints" about improper quoting?

By the by, I love correcting the spelling in a post that complains about spelling or grammar and as such must point out that the word is properly spelled "chalkboard."

I think it's a great blog. Punctuation just makes logical sense to me, so seeing "random" quotation mark's or apostrophe's is like hearing someone sing horribly off-key. I know it doesn't bug everyone, but it does me and I felt some camaraderie when I read someone blogging about it.

Let's not forget Its/It's while we're at it. :)

I agree that the whole situation was ridiculous. It's not a brain surgery contest people, it's a beauty contest. Stop making the girls try to think! :hehehmm:

The apostrophe is used when there's a contraction of "it is", but not for showing possession... please trust me, I really do know that!
