My mom and her luck - the WII hunt

okay,I have come across 3 WII's over the past four months. I would call her, 'Do you want me to pick it up?' 'No, I will wait till next month.'

Today, this morning, she decides is the day she is going to go find a WII - first store she walks into has 10 in stock...

I don't get it. If it would have been me looking, I wouldn't find one until next spring.

She is happy she gets to bowl tonight.

Yeah I have been noticing more and more Wiis in stock here in Fresberg and even so when i was in OC.

Still see a big fat zero at Target, Best Buy, Circuit City, Wal-Mart whenever I stop in for other things (Northern Virginia/DC).

Just depends where you go. There was a gamestop thats not on their website that my friend saw and randomly went into, and it had 5 wii's. But every gamestop i saw online and called had 0.

Maarchk, I really think that is what happened to them too! They went by Southwestern Community College and by chance noticed a Gamestop across the street that just opened in the new mall area there.

They were going to go up to Fairview Hgts and hit the one up there...

She's already called and complained about pulling her shoulder out bowling and how she sucks at golf.

They are having fun - I haven't seen them play video games since we had an intellevision and it came with poker and blackjack. Mom and Dad would play. Or when we got our first computer (some Radio Shack Tandy) and they would play Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy.

I got mine at Target and I went early for it (~11 a.m.) on a Friday. There were none out, but I asked an associate and they had 3 in the back. =]

Was in target a week ago on Sunday and they had 5 Wii's. I think the availability is increasing but it's still a crapshoot.

Up here I've found 4 at Costco, and 10 at Target on a Saturday afternoon. I think the demand has died down for now.
