First of all, thank you everyone for saving me mad ducats, y'all rock.
Second, I have a mac- I'm wondering if anyone knows of an eqivalent site to gotapex more for mac users, specifically in the deals department?
(The deal mentioned is a QPS Que! 8x4x32x firewire cdrw at outpost.com for 239.95 after rebate, plus take off another 3% from ******.
Thanks!
you might want to check out http://www.xlr8yourmac.com if you haven't already. i usually buy most of my mac stuff from the deals at the OWC link over there. don't know of any other place to get too much mac stuff...what are you lookin for anyway?

Thanks, Taj.
I just took an initial look at the site, it looks helpful.
Right now, I'm shopping for an external firewire hard drive- Probably the 40GB or 80GB Maxtor, and a RAM upgrade, for an Imac DV. That $40 off $200 Onvia coupon would have been great for the hard drive, just missed it...

I saw a pretty good deal on an 80 gb firewire 5400 rpm on http://www.transintl.com. Its on the bar on the right side of the xlr8 homepage. It says its $379 on xlr8, but $399 on transintl. anyway, i think thats a pretty good price for an 80gb firewire. I may end up buying one sometime. let me know if you get the $379 price if you decide to buy it. Other option is to buy an IDE from staples and use the 40 off 150 (i saw it somewhere) and buy an ide firewire kit they sell at macsales.com. that might be pretty cheap, too. anyway, good luck.

Onvia lists the 80GB for $353, that could be a deal or not depending on sales tax and shipping. I think they are in California.
Outpost has the 40GB for $260, no tax, no shipping, and the 80GB for $380. also take off that now 5% from ******.
I think i'm going to wait on the hard drive for a bit.
Merry X-mas!

a better deal still, for right now:
Staples- free shipping on 80GB Maxtor for $390, minus
40 off 150 coupon: 88093 (courtesy of techbargains.com) = $350.
The 40 GB at staples is $270, minus $40 = $230.
I think they only add sales tax in Massachusetts.

Sorry, wrong on the sales tax. They charge it everywhere they have a store, which is everywhere.
I got the 40 GB Maxtor. Merry Xmas to me!
