So I just moved back to the right coast (from California) and I need to get all-weather type tires for my 2002 Toyota Camry V6. The current tires are guaranteed pieces of crap in rain, so I wanted to make sure I don't get myself killed by using them when the weather is nasty here.

Mechmike or anybody else: You guys have any suggestions on the brand/type of tire that I should go with, or are they all pretty much the same?

-Ray

Michelin tires i personal like they are not cheap to buy :(
but they stop in rain and snow .i also get about 50- 60 thousand miles on a set when installed on my f-150 .i cant do that with goodyear or bridgestone .

:agree:

Michelin tires are what I trusted my life with on my T'Bird... and they never failed to perform.

Unfortunately, Michelin don't make a 22 inch tire that will fit my 300C :D Oh well... :heh:

Another vote for Michelin. The Tire Rack (http://www.tirerack.com)is your friend...

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'm having these guys installed this afternoon. The ratings and reviews I read were fantastic and the tires are actually a little bit less expensive than I expected them to be.

Good choice. I would also add an "anything but Goodyear" in case anyone searches on this thread at a later time. I had some Goodyear tires put on your Town & Country, and a short time later the front end wouldn't stop shaking (not severely, but noticeable). Took it to an alignment shop, and the guy just pointed to the tire brand as the problem (he's seen a lot of cases). He called Discount Tire (across the street) and explained the problem, and they replaced the tires with Michelins (was especially easy to do because of their warranty).

I had Goodyear's on my '02 Ranger and replaced them after 85k and never had any problems with them.

I replaced them with a set of Michelin's and expect the truck to die before the tires do. :)

I ended up buying some Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S (all-season) tires. Thanks for the advice everyone!
