im a little scared

as you all know it seems like im on the forum about all the time .
well tomorrow im calling my dr. to see if i can get in to see him ASAP .
i get cluster headaches and been getting what i thought was them returning .but this time its diffrent .
im having a headache 24/7 and my normal meds are not working .also the pain in the temple area as normal .but it is also in the back of my forehead on the left side were your neck connects. and im having to take tylenol with codeine .to hide the pain not make it go away .also im having a pain in my right elbow and numbness down to my forefinger.and i checked my blood pleasure and its 149/96 and im already on meds for that .
im been putting off making the appointment thinking it was just my normal clusters . now im wondering and figure i better make a visit .i can not keep putting this off !

Could be a herniated disc. I have three of them in my neck. Similar symptoms. I believe its 3/4 or 4/5 disc which affects the ulna nerve.

Have you lifted something heavy lately?

yikes, hang in there! Like you said, the codeine will hide the pain, but the disconcerting question is what's causing it to begin with? :(

I hope everything goes well for you. Sometimes when make ourselves sicker than we are because of what we think is wrong. the brain is pretty powerful and overwhelming.

well here is were i stand right now .
1st of i have to take a test thursday am a emg for carbo-tunnel
and 2 meds for headaches .if they dont help. then im to get a mri. she said she give me pain med's i turned them down i hate covering up pain .i only use aspirin for pain 90 % of the time.
and she gave me a order for a wrest brace .
and to see her again in 10 days to 2 weeks.

I had one of those tests for the carpal tunnel..it's not comfortable that's for sure. Good luck. And don't watch when they stick those big needles into your arms! I've never heard of carpal tunnel causing headaches though.

Me neither. Sorry, but it sounds like a wrong diagnosis to me.

i kind of agree with both of you on carpal tunnel .but she's the DR.and im under a HMO so its follow her lead on this one.
thursday at 9.15 i have the test and thanks for the heads up !

had the emg .was told the results will be in by thusday. not trying to second guess the dr. but i think they were not normal by his remarks and facial impressions .also said somthing as keep off work .funny as im not on a work restriction (i am self employed do) like i said i wait till tuesday and see . the test lasted maybe 20 mins it didnt take long i was home by 9:30 and i got in early by 15 mins but still was short test all in all.
and he did the test on my right and left side .left side i could feel more on .the right didnt react much to the impulses !
