anyone know any web sites to find plans or get good ideas from.
i hate to go and buy a shelf unit when i can build one for less and better im sure .and i hate to waste time drawing one out to scale when there maybe plans on the net. im looking at making a all wood unit with adjustable shelfs. that can hold around 300 dvds. im using a unit i bought at walmart and out grow it .and i always dislike the unit .its the canoe front style and some disk you can never read becouse the units front looks tapers in on the top and bottom .
any help i take it may save me a lot of time in planning a new unit to build.
also im in a room pinch .as the unit can't be large then 23w X 48H also i like the dvds to stand up not lay down so i can read the titles like a book shelf ~
thanks reno .

Why don't you just buy a fabric case with inserts in them? 300 DVDs don't use that much room. Less than $30 for one that can hold 320 units.

its in my living room and im needing it to match the rest of the decor ~
the decor is all real wood.and what im seeing thats avail is mostly around $150 and up and needs to be assembled .also the stuff is particle board . i have the equipment to fab a unit out of wood and can make it in a day or two start to finished !

I've been using it since 2 summers ago in 9 different states and hasn't failed me once.

What does a Verizon phone have to do with building a DVD rack? Is this some sort of special feature the new models include?

You seem to know what you want it to look like- you should be able to sketch up something you like pretty easily and make it. I used some wooden boxes from the local grocery store (they rarely use wood anymore though) and uaed slats from one box to add a shelf to the middle which made them perfect DVD size. You can look at the cheap ones to see how they were constructed.

Ski and SD must both be getting old together. :heh:

Weird, maybe I had two forum response tabs open. Sorry about the confusion! If turning 25 is old, Heaven help me!
