Check this out... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/basketball/more/11/27/pippen.sweden.ap/index.html

The paragraph that reads:
"Pippen was often overshadowed by Bulls teammate Michael Jordan, but he spent 12 seasons with Chicago and helped the team win six NBA titles. He also won two Olympic gold medals."

Should read something like this:
"Pippen was often AND VERY RIGHTLY overshadowed by THE GREATEST PLAYER TO EVER GRACE THE BASKETBALL COURT Bulls teammate Michael Jordan, but he spent 12 seasons with Chicago and helped the team win six NBA titles BUT NEVER WITHOUT JORDAN PLAYING A FULL SEASON. He also won two Olympic gold medals."

Pippen was a great player, but I think the writer of this article had a little Pippen-love going on to even imply that he was unjustly overshadowed by MJ.

C'mon.

Jordan never won a title without a Pippen either. Pippen was a great player but definitely not on the level of MJ.

Pippen was a bad foul call from eliminating the Knicks in that 93-94 Season.

No way Hubert Davis was fouled on that shot, but you put Game 7 in MSG and you can expect the outcome.

Jordan was the prototypical MVP... his team is a title contender (and a dominant one, at that) with him... and decidedly NOT without him. Pippen was great... but he was about 49 spots behind Jordan on the 50 greatest players list, if not more.

To allude that he didn't get his due as a part of the Bulls, is not right.

Pippen was the perfect compliment to Jordan, the way he played the passing lanes, and locked up the 2nd best scorer on D.

93-94 season he was 1st team all defense, 1st team all NBA, averaged 22 ppg, 8.7 rpg, 5.6 apg, and 2.93 spg. in leading the Bulls to 55 wins. (NBA.com stats) Not bad without Jordan and arguably the "best teammate ever".

Not the Bulls fault he signed a long term deal and he didn't get his proper money. That's what the trade to Portland and the Rockets was all about..money. Nothing else. Well that and Krause thinking that he can win NBA titles without Jordan and Phil Jackson.
