If so is it just the back ones? If you have front side tint... how dark are they and have you ever gotten a fix it ticket?

35% all around. Looks weird with just back tinted.

edit: no fix-it tickets. Have had the tint for almost 3 years.

Yes in our Odyssey (factory tint) but our CR-V is not tinted.

My old car (2000 Accord) was tinted (20% in the back and 35% in the front). I was never gotten a fix-it ticket for it though since I always rolled down my windows around cops.

I have an appointment to tint tomorrow morning ... still unsure what to do.

My wife's car has 35% (2005 Honda Accord), and the car is so much more pleasurable to be in during the hot times of the day than my car, which only has 20% (and it is bubbling/peeling).

I don't. But my brother had his tinted, all the way around in Oklahoma. I can't remember the exact percentage. But he had to move to California for work, and they have already pulled him over once.

Yup...

Mine are tinted all around... 20%

And no, I've never gotten a ticket. Pretty much, cops here won't stop ya for tint if you ain't doing something to get their attention. And I play it cool when I know that they are around. :fro:

35% titanium tint all around would be the best (not too dark like 20% or 5% but not too light either).

I got front and back done on my 2005 Accord done when I was in LA. I asked the guy for the leagal limit on it. He said he could do darker, but that was up to me.

Just the back windows tinted on both of our cars. I don't want to give the cops any reason to pull me over. I've seen too many episodes of "Cops" where they pull a guy over for a busted tail light, and end up hauling him to jail for something else that they then find...

Land Rover's tinted all around I think 35%. Not sure. Can hardly see through during day (nice). Never stopped.
Sometimes I think the police pick and choose who to stop depending on vehicle type.

Interesting that you bring this up. At least 3 of my friends have gotten tickets in the past 6 months. This is in So. Cal. It was a waste for them, because they had to pay to get it done, then they paid to get it removed.:disa:

I ended up with 50% in the front and 5% limo on the back 5 windows

California law says that you're not allowed tints on the front side windows. But basically, as long as cops can see you inside your car, you probably won't get pulled over.

Yeah... they aren't that dark in the front.

"And I play it cool when I know that they are around."

DF - I bet you play it cool all the time. :)
What does 25% v 35% mean? Which one is darker? (mine are obviously not tinted)

brainsmile

25% means 25% of the light allowed in
Limo tint is 5% so 95% of the light doesn't come in the car.

You know it. :fro:

Like BS said... the number of the tint is the percentage of light it lets pass through.

But even though I did 50% in the front, since the back is so dark the front looks darker than 50% more like 35%

I got a nice dark tint in the back and a little lighter in the front...

my front windows are smoke tinted...prolly around 75-80%, and my rear windows are 30% tinted. I don't even have to change my rear view mirror to "night" mode...my tinted windows acts as a shield already :)
