View Full Version : How old were you when you first did the deed?

Here's a question. For all you guys that are calling out Jamie Lynn Spears about getting pregnant... (obby & DF mainly but everyone really), not to get too personal, but how old were you when you started having sex? I'm just wondering because I know A LOT of people started around 15 or 16. I was 17, almost 18, and certainly wish I'd waited. But my point is, yeah, she made a huge boo boo getting pregnant, but without knowing the circumstances, such as did they use birth control that failed, it's hard to point fingers. Glass houses and all that stuff.

It's only a huge deal because she is known, and related to a crazy person. So people just assume she will end up just as crazy. I have a friend that had two kids before she was 17, and she isn't that bad off.

Granted you lose a bit of your Teen years/Early Twenties, and it sucks for you, but you made the choice.

I could care less what she is doing. It's all just the media having fun and making money at others expenses.

I was 16. I got pregnant the second time. People make mistakes, but I guess according to some people's standards, mistakes make me a "skank". It's pretty sad how judgemental some people are.

I was "old" the first time - considering. But there were strong religious and cultural reasons that I won't even get into :)

I'm more annoyed at the damage she is going to do to the 'tweens that watch her show on Nick. More and more girls are going to think that getting pregnant at 16 is "okay".....parents definitely have their work cut out for them now.

I'll never watch Zoey 101 again.

Hey... how did my name get in there?

After all that her sister did... we can't wait to see how THIS baby momma turns out. :D

(has nothing to do with her age either... :D )

BTW.. I was 16 and did use a condom :D

*laugh* DF, I really wasn't singling you out for any good or bad reason. Just that you voiced a strong opinion in the other thread.

Layla, that was exactly my point of this thread. Was to maybe open up everyone's eyes that just because a girl gets pregnant, it doesn't make her a skank. If she is sleeping around with every other guy, that's one thing. And who knows. If JLS was sleeping around with more than just this guy, sure, call her a name like that. But otherwise, she's an unfortunate, possibly stupid or naive, little girl who is going to have to grow up even faster than she already has.

Yeah, and that is one of the two smartest reasons to wait. The other being maturity in case an accident does happen. Like I said, I wish now that I had waited, cause my first time was no picnic. Luckily there were no physical consequences.

I was of legal age, and MARRIED before I had sex. My birth control happened to be my parents AND my brothers!!!
But what does that have to do with the fact that this 16 year old should know about condoms and is too lazy to use them?? What does it have to do with her mother allowing the 19 year old boyfriend to live in the same house? What about the parents of the guy? What is their excuse?? She could have gotten herself to planned parenthood and gotten some birth control without her parents knowing about it if she had too..
Both her and her sister are skanky white trash. Thats my opinion.

what gets me now a days is how many partners some of these kids have by the time there out of school .and how some parents just turn a close eye to what there children are doing to them self. my wifes seen them as young as 12 having children at her hospital. and the grand parents act like its no big deal.yes these are mostly intercity babys having babys but not all of them.

Talk about naive..come on Jenny be serious. Look who her role models are. If she wanted to avoid being in that situation she could have-EASILY. You don't know how many guys she's slept with so far..didn't the knews just come out that her sister was having sex at age 14 (way before Timberlake)..She stopped being a little girl when she started even THINKING about having sex.

Though I fall in the 13 or younger bracket, I'm raising 3 girls and stories like this scare the crap out of me. Wonder how I'll be when the boys start calling, I was pretty mean about it with my sisters.

Oh, I am not saying she wasn't responsible or anything. Did she use a condom? I dunno. Probably not. But she might have and it didn't work. It happens. Especially when it isn't used properly. Heck, I was on bc pills when I got pregnant with Josh. i had switched to a different kind and it apparently didn't do the trick.

And yeah, she had sucky role models. VERY sucky role models. But show me a 16 year old girl that uses great judgement all the time, especially when growing up like JLS did. If she wasn't taught any better, then it'd be much harder for her to be smart about it. All I'm saying is I think it's rude and stuff to call her names. Regardless of how she acted and the consequences, she is still young and sadly has probably messed up the rest of her life.

I was amazed to hear some 16 YO kid call into a talk show on my way to work this morning saying that she respects JLS & now sees her as more of a role model BECAUSE she got pregnant & is being responsible about it. The caller said she also wants to be knocked up because she wants something to take care of. :|

Do kids really think this way, or is this an isolated case? I'd feel like a failure as a parent if that was my kid spouting that crap. I mean, it's one thing to be young & careless or unlucky - that will ALWAYS happen. But to WANT to have a child at 14, 15, 16? I can't wrap my mind around that.

She's a skank. So is her sister. So is Jessica Simpson now that I think of it.

From Wikipedia:
Skank is slang and a pejorative term used in English to describe a certain type of female. [1][2] The term "skank" differs from that of "slut" in that whereas the latter implies only sexual promiscuity; the former also implies poor taste, personally degrading behaviour and low socioeconomic class. Also used as slang for lower class female that is dirty or not presenting herself well. Other skank behaviors can include being obsessed with celebrity lifestyle and emulating it. Originally denoting a bad smell[citation needed] or a filthy surface[3], "skank" has come to refer to someone who is physically repugnant for their filth, and figuratively applied to someone who is morally or socially repugnant for their behavior and demeanor, most often sexual conduct.[4]

From Dictionary.com:

skank (skāngk) Pronunciation Key
n.

1. A rhythmic dance performed to reggae or ska music, characterized by bending forward, raising the knees, and extending the hands.
2. Disgusting or vulgar matter; filth.
3. One who is disgustingly foul or filthy and often considered sexually promiscuous. Used especially of a woman or girl.

Not that we can remember, no. Might have been, but it's been so long now, I don't remember. I do know they cause problems with the pill, but whether I knew that then or not, I don't remember.

This is where you buy them a puppy or a kitten or a guinea pig... give them a pet to take care of.....

Sack of flower!!! Then gold fish, then gerbil, then cat, then dog, then llama, then kid. That way they are at least 30 before its time for kids.

I was young. But how do you say no to the babysitter? The best part was not knowing what was going on till the next day.
