Mt. Everest Series on Discovery Channel

I got to see the first show over a month ago. I couldn't see the rest of them, since I play pool on Tuesday nights.

It appeared that there were some major problems with the ascent from the previews I saw after that.

Anyone watch that series? Were there any casualties?

Hey I watched the series this year and last year. They said there were seven deaths this year overall.

For those that the series was following everyone but one person made it up. The fitness chick/writer was not allowed to go. Tim the big biker guy who did not make it last year made it this year but the amazing thing was they he climbed the last part after camp four with a broken hand. The Danish guy Mognes also made it up but with oxygen. The 71 year old Japanese guy also made it up and needed a little help getting down. The guy trying to do a double traverse made it up but gave up on the second half. The British guy who made the bet with his buddies made it up but did get a little retina burn on one eye. The guy who had severe frost bite from a previous attempt made it up. Overall everyone in the series made it up and back just fine.

yeah. pretty much. that show is the first one i've ever watched that made me want to climb everest.
