In my travels, I try to avoid using any glassware in the rooms, esp since I saw this report a month ago. Even the pre-packaged plastic cups are not safe.

The sheets are probably the cleanest thing in the room - you at least assume that they (along with the towels) have been washed in HOT water...with soap and bleach!
I've heard that the bedspreads are the worst (maybe behind the glassware, now....)

I saw this video a couple of weeks ago and it is gross. I wonder if the airlines clean their glassware the same way the hotels do.
I never use the bedspreads. I throw them in corner of the room and never touch them again.

I read an article a number of years ago about things they have found in hotel rooms. One couple (maybe the authors of the article) always pack their own sheets when they go to a hotel.
