Actress Courtney Thorne-Smith and husband Roger Fishman welcomed their first child, a boy named Jacob Emerson, Smith's rep confirms to Usmagazine.com exclusively.

"Mother and father are thrilled," Smith's rep tells Us. "And the baby is healthy."

Smith gave birth Friday at L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where Nicole Richie was also in labor. (Comedian David Alan Grier and his wife also welcomed a girl the same day.)

Smith, 40, has been married to Fishman for just over a year. They met on an airplane in 2004.

"It's such an amazing moment for both of us," Smith has said of her pregnancy. "We both sort of had to say, I don't know if this is going to happen for me. The fact it's happening is just astounding!"

The actress is known her role on According to Jim and past parts on Melrose Place and Ally McBeal.

Man, was Norm MacDonald drunk/high while he was on that show?

As far as who she is, the movies/shows that I remember her being in are:
1. Revenge of the nerds II (Goofy looking girl with hot bod in the Bikini)
2. Melrose Place (Allison Parker)
3. Ally McBeal (the real life Barbie)
4. According to Jim (Jim's wife)

Pretty decent actress IMO.

I have liked her for a while too, ever since I saw her in Summer School.

Myself as well, but at my age, and at that time, I thought it was gross when she started acting like the teacher's wife when he allowed her to stay with him. Too funny.
