Seriously..... what a train wreck. I don't mind watching it once they get rid of all of the freak shows, but the first couple of episodes are more than I can stomach. I'm just waiting for the day when someone goes postal after Simon gives them some sharp criticism.

I enjoy the train wrecks except for the guy in the Pincess Leia slave outfit and the creepy guy who just sang the national stalker anthem for psychos everywhere. That look gave me the creeps. Ugh.

Honestly, I ONLY watch AI to see the train wrecks...

The rest of the show is GARBAGE!!!! (is it Sunday yet... trash pickup is Monday morning. :2far: )

Should have seen one of the first few episodes of Canadian Idol, season 4 -- one of the judges actually threw a trashcan at someone who sounded awful and who just wouldn't get it.

(It wasn't a hard throw mind-you, but still shocking)

What the heck?!

He threw a trashcan? That's nuts!

I mean, really, how bad can one singer be?

Delusional is the WORD!!! I see it all the time at the Karaoke events I attend.

The people who are the worst singers have no clue and think they are wonderful, while the best singers are the hardest on themselves.

So true! There's often times where I'll sing a tune and think "man, did I ever butcher that one" -- yet my friends (who are great singers as well) often will tell me that I should actually keep it. We are honest with each other, and will freely admit when one of us just shouldn't sing a particular song again.

That is the whole point of the early episodes- to show embarassing moments. Without them- ie if they pretended it was a serious competition, the audience would be considerably smaller.

The Filipino was quite entertaining tonight. Man, what a pedestal he put Simon on.

OK.... if I could somehow get that "I Am Your Brother" song out of my head, I'd be a happy person. I've tried thinking of the most annoying song I know, and it still doesn't erase that particular tune out of my head. :(

Friday night, a guy at a karaoke event I go to said that the Tuesday night show had an Indian singer called Oogie who sang "My Way". He said I would have recognized him because he used to go the Sheraton in Langhorne, Pa which was a hot spot for Karaoke years ago.

I can't place him, but he said that he was terrible as usual.
