I am considering building a computer to replace my Pentium 4 2.4 GHz unit.
I checked some benchmarks and am looking at the Intel E6750. For some reason, the E6700 is quite a bit more expensive than the E6750. Anyone know why?

Most likely, the E6700 is not currently in production (in favor of the E6750) and people are just trying to recoup their "historical cost" on them.
Personally, I'd stick with the E6750 for the price... you get a faster FSB (1333 vs 1066)

Get a quad-core CPU if you could afford it. The Q6600 is pretty good and it could be O/C'ed.

I found out E6750 is much lower and popular. If you do not special requiry, the E6750 is enough.
